Giving
Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.       2 Corinthians 9:7 KJV

Tithes and Offerings

There is great significance to giving unto the Lord, in sowing into the work of His Kingdom. This is good ground for sowing.

Tithes and offerings may be submitted:

Pray this prayer when submitting your offering:
Father God,
Thank You for this opportunity to give into Your Kingdom through WORD Fellowship Ministries. Cause my seed to accomplish all You have planned for it in this Ministry and my camp. I believe You for my own personal harvest from all the seed I have sown in Your Name. My expectation for increase is in You, Lord.
Thank You for blessing this Ministry, my camp and me as You promise in Your Word.
In Jesus' Name. Amen.

The Difference: Tithes and Offering

"Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in My house.  Test Me in this," says the Lord Almighty, "and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that you will not have room enough for it.
I will prevent pests from devouring your crops, and the vines in your fields will not cast their fruit," says the Lord Almighty.
                                                                                                                                                          Malachi 3:10-11 NIV

We worship the Lord in our giving. Giving (aka sowing) is our participation in God's desire and ability to cause us to prosper - we sow and He manifests His harvest unto us according to His will. This is His "blessings" system. Although usually considered one entity, the tithe and offering are two separate and distinct types of giving. However, both are expressions of our worship and trust in God.

Tithe
The tithe is a required predetermined amount set by the Lord - 10% of your income or increase. It is His commandment to His children to return what already belongs to Him.   It ensures there is" food" - all necessary provision for the work of the Kingdom - in God's house, while activating His covenant with us to cause His blessings to flow in our life; and His preventing the enemy from devouring those blessings - our harvest, increase, favor, etc.

The tithe should be paid to one place, the storehouse, where you are being fed spiritually, which is usually the church where you are a member. However, it is appropriate to tithe to a church or ministry that is regularly feeding you by group study, internet or mail, and thereby serving as your home church. Once the Lord leads you to the local church He has selected for you to attend your tithe is to go to that church house and offering to the others.

Offering
Offerings, a separate aspect of giving, are given totally above the tithe, and are not to be deducted from the tithe. Where the amount of the tithe is set, the amount of the offering is determined and given as the Holy Spirit leads; not out of emotion or obligatory pleas.

At times, the leadership of your "home" church may request a determined amount for a special offering as the Lord leads. When this occurs at your church or if you feel a tug on your heart to give when visiting another you may ask the Lord to confirm your participation. Eventually you will grow in the Lord to instinctively know (discern) the Lord’s prompting in your giving.  However, keep in mind that you will never get too mature to be able to seek Him for guidance and verification.

In both, tithes and offerings, we are to have the heart of God – generous, loving, compassionate, and delighted. The cheerfulness in our giving is not as throwing money around “willy-nilly,” or haphazardly, but speaks of the inner excitement and joy we receive in and as a result of giving. This honors God.

Your sowing into this Ministry partners you into the work we do here - serving God, spreading His Word, and sharing His love.

Thank you for your giving to this Ministry.
